Ranch Run Details- 5 more days!

 Dear Ranch Runners,

On behalf of everyone on Team BEEF Oregon, we are so excited that you signed up for the 2nd Annual Oregon CattleWomen Ranch Run, brought to you by Oregon BEEF Council! We are only 5 days away and wanted to give you an update on a few things, give you maps of where to park, packet pick up location information, maps of each race and more.

  1. Ranch Runners Wanted: Registration is still open if you have friends or family wanting to join in on the fun! Shirts will be on a first come first serve basis for new registrants, but they will still receive a bib, finishers medal and burger. We are willing to take registration at packet pick up both Friday evening and early Saturday morning. Please look for the CattleWomen registration table. FYI, registrants for the 5K can be walkers, and strollers are welcome.  Register here: getmeregistered.com/teambeefranchrun
  2. Bring the Family!: If you have family or friends that aren’t into running or walking, but want to come support you, they are welcome to take part in the after party celebration. Burgers will be available to purchase for $6 ea. Bottled water, soda and chocolate milk $1. Your family is also welcome along the route to safely park, cheer and hold up signs. You’ve worked hard to get here, and we want them to be a part of your success Running the Ranch!
  3. While on the Ranch:JoHanna Symons, owner of the Symons Beef Company, will be on site and available to give tours and answer agricultural questions. If you were ever curious about cattle production, take advantage of her knowledge! We are so grateful they allowed us to utilize their ranch, not only for the race, but to share with you the story of BEEF, from pasture to plate. Tri-County CattleWomen will also have a table with educational and interesting information about BEEF.
  4. Parking:While we have been given the run of the ranch, we also want to realize this is an active working cattle operation. Please pay attention to the mapping area below for where to park. Once you arrive, please follow signs on how to enter and exit during the Ranch Run.
  5. Weather Forecast:We are anticipating cool weather and possible rain, so be sure and dress appropriately
  6. Gear Check?:Because we are a smaller race, and the parking area is easily accessible, we will NOT be offering a gear check.
  7. Kids Policy: As a family friendly event, kids are always welcome to sign up for the larger races like the 5K, 10k, and beyond! We do ask that these children be accompanied by an adult if they are under the age of 10. Because this course will run on roads, we want everyone to stay safe. Children that are registered for the kids dash – are not required to be accompanied by an adult, but are welcome to tagalong, especially for the much younger ones. You will not be required to pay when accompanying your child for the kids dash.
  8. Earbud/Headphones: Safety is of the utmost priority, and while we hope you will take in the sights and sounds of the course, we ask that if you choose to use them, that only one earbud/headphone would be in along the course, at a low volume. This will ensure you are aware of the traffic and surrounding participants.
